Gibson's book, Life in Death, was incredibly healing for me. Gibson amazes me in that she was able to not only forgive, but to then bless the very country who was responsible for murdering her brother and so many others. This book is truly for anyone who has lost a loved one to violence or to those who cannot let go of past, painful heart wounds. The purpose is not to force the reader to forgive, but to give the reader healing for their soul and the gift of peace for their mind. This book is a fabulous illustration of a sisters journey to make sense of a senseless act. This book clearly demonstrates the struggles and heart ache of losing a loved one and how love and forgiveness conquers all. This book would appeal to the majority of the population regardless of spiritual orientation, gender or race. The book leaves the reader feeling encouraged and understanding of the power of forgiveness. The author captures her and her family's story and you feel for their loss and the choices and mechanisms in which they choose to deal with what has been handed to them. I would highly recommend this book for a glimpse into terrorism, the impact it can have on people's lives and how good can come from evil.

I have known Lisa for a year or two and just recently got to know her story and then read her book. I was impressed with her story of forgiveness and inspired at how she went beyond forgiveness and actually took steps to understand and act as mediator in preventing future conflicts. The Peace & Prosperity Alliance is making a difference in the world and her story of faith and Christianity is an inspiration to me and I would imagine anyone who reads her book.
This is one of those books that I will use for reference as well as to look through for inspiration when I find myself struggling or having difficulties.
The book is very well written and what I consider an easy read. I found myself feeling very involved as I followed her along in her journey of recounting the pain and process of losing a loved one.
I highly recommend this book.
